About Lardmee

Lardmee (LDM, 拉多美) makes compound fertilisers in China. It is an independent company and LCF Australia’s manufacturing partner: the compound fertilisers LCF Australia supplies are made by Lardmee. Its range includes compound fertilisers that combine potassium humate with nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium, with the aim of helping crops make better use of the nutrients applied.

Lardmee describes itself as a pioneer of China's humate fertiliser industry.

Lardmee states that since 2020 it has run demonstration plots across China in conjunction with China's Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, through the ministry's national centre for cultivated land quality.

What this means in Australia

Demonstrations in China are run in Chinese farming systems, which are often irrigated and use more fertiliser than Australian dryland cropping. Their results may not carry over to Australian soils, rainfall and seeding practice, so we do not quote them as a guide to results here.

Research suggests humate may help hold nutrients in the root zone, but responses vary, and Australian field results so far have been mixed. Our humate guide explains what is known. Humate complements fertiliser and soil management. It does not replace them.
